![]() Some are on the fence and in those instances I'll take some paw print impressions, just in case. If I'm present at the time of euthanasia I will ask the family if they would like these mementos, as I know some people don't. I work in a vet clinic and regularly do this for people. Sekut:) and guess what? My healthy now-13 year old dog has never seen anyone else since and I’d be overjoyed to personally help anyone else threaten their way out of that damn wellness contract NaThe bill would be astronomical of course but surely they knew what they were doing right? An emergency crying call to my late cat Tabithas specialty vet later we carried our baby out of a place that rhymes with “Manfield” for the very last time ever, other vet bumped another client to fit us in as an emergency, biopsied the lump without so much as needing general anesthesia and pronounced it benign. Makes me wonder if it was the very same that tried to convince me that my healthy 10 year-old dog SURELY had metastasized cancer when we found a tiny pea sized breast lump. For sure the office needs to train their staff better in handling delicate situations. I was just to upset to even get mad and complain about their insensitive behavior. Then when she finally gave me the box containing the ashes she handed the box to me upside down. I am clearly upset picking up my dogs ashes but seeing as how disrespectful to possibly keep my dogs remains on the floor or under someone desk was just awful. I saw her looking around the counters, floors and under the desks. When I got there the person helping me kept me waiting at the front desk for 20 mins while she looked for my dogs ashes in the office. ![]() One time they called to tell me my dogs ashes were ready for pick up. I had a very good relationship with the doctor but the rest of the staff came and went. Even though I was in an out of that office a lot through the years there is a turnover of staff. It was a big vet office with a lot of staff. The most I got from the office was a card signed by the staff. I was a ten year client at my vet office. That is very thoughtful of the vet office.
